Let's Get Deep

Yesterday my family and I drove through San Fran to go to a family reunion party thing, and on the way back, the sun was setting, and I got to stare out the window while our car was crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, and my brother popped in a Jack Johnson CD and it was such a cool moment, I guess haha. And it got me thinking about a conversation I had with my friends on Friday. About girls. And how mean and back-stabby girls can be. One thing I envy about boys (besides the convenience of peeing, haha) is that boys don't hold grudges, and they don't b.s. you (well... most boys). The female species is always competing, and comparing against each other. And don't get me wrong, I'm totally like that too. Sometimes even if I see a random girl in the streets, a girl I don't even know, I totally, instantly judge her. Girls have weird mindsets. I am not a fan, haha.

And the crappy phone pics begin!

Sorry, Mrs. Gross. I know the focus on this is so fetch. *sarcasm
Look at that sunlight water!!
I've been doing these captions Augustus Waters, style. Enjoy the inside of our minivan.
Aaaand here's Jamie on Saturday sleeping on one of the couches at the furniture store. #classygirl
On another note (all this babbling will tie in together somewhere towards the end), I was raised a nondenominational christian, and I still hold those beliefs now. And I have been lucky enough to have been exposed to a lot of other religions too. Some of my best friends are Jewish or Hindu, and some of my friends don't even have religions.
So, what I'm trying to get across in this post (yay! Claire's going to stop babbling!), is that no matter what your religion is or isn't, whether you believe in that stuff or not, whether you are a girl or a boy, the one thing I think is the most important, is to believe in love. That sound so cliche. But, whatever. I think it's the most important to love what you do, love yourself, and love absolutely everyone around you. I don't mean you have to be like super-ultra-mega-besties with everyone you meets. Oh, no. I am not a patient person. Lots of people annoy me plenty. But even people you aren't so ecstatic about, show them love and treat them with kindness.
Now a plethora of deep, tear-inducing, insightful quotes on love:
"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." -MLK Jr.
"Affection is responsible for nine-tenths of whatever solid and durable happiness there is in our lives." -C.S. Lewis
"We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create illusion for the moment that we're not alone." -Orson Welles
"Love is life. And if you miss love, you miss life." -Leo Buscaglia

  Random Tangent Over.
