This all started on September 11. We were walking to school and somehow the topic of my shoe obsession came up.
"You could wear a different pair of shoes everyday for a month and still have some left over!!" said Claire.
"I know. I have a problem," I replied.
"You should do that."
"Wear a different pair of shoes everyday for a month?"
"Yeah!"
"Ummm... I don't know."
"Do it! It'll be a good experience. You never even wear most of your shoes!"
"Okay. Fine."
"Yay!"
"I can't believe I'm doing this..."
So, the next day, I show up wearing a different pair of shoes from the day before. Phew, day 2 complete. I would like to point out that my cheer shoes didn't count since I was required to wear them every Friday. After about 2 weeks is when it started getting hard. I had trouble deciding which shoes to wear because I didn't want to wear any of them. All of a sudden, my shoes weren't as cute as they were when I first got each of them. "Why did I even get those shoes??" I thought to a lot of them. On October 11, my Shoetervention was complete. It was a long month. But it taught me some valuable lessons.
1. Don't get things you're not going to use. It wastes money that your parents work hard to make.
2. Be grateful for what you have. A quote by Claire, "Think about how many shoes you don't use and how many kids who don't have shoes that could use them."
3. When you start a shoe collection, be aware of the lack of closet space you will have.
Have a good night, young'ns.

The pile of shoes I wore for the month.
One of the shoes that made me think, " Why the heck did I get these?!"
The shoes I've decided to give away. I know it's not a lot, but it's a start for me.

I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!! *sheds tear from eye*
