Even though I'm not one of those stereotypical Asians (especially at Lynbrook), where they start studying for the SAT in the sixth grade, and view anything under an 'A' as suicide, I am smart. Well. I mean, grades have never been a big deal for me. They are important, sure, but in ten years, or probably even in one, I am not going to remember what I got on that science project or chinese test. I'm also not the best study-er. I'm good at memorization. But I usually only study for something the night before.
I like to think that a bulk of my intelligence runs on fun facts. And research. If I'm interested in a subject, I will Google the crap out of it. Seriously. I can tell you why milk is not good for you, how the weather impacts mood, how sociopaths compare to psychopaths, toliet sanitation, sunscreen harms, the origin of jeans, how baking soda works as shampoo, sleep cycles, but I just can't quite remember all the multiples of anything over eleven. It's weird. But it's fun.
I get exactly three magazines. Seventeen (girly stuff), Teen Vogue (girly stuff), and Psychology Today (maybe the best magazine you will ever get). My brother started getting Psych Today last year, but I was the only one reading it, even though he's the one majoring in Psych. I learn so much from that magazine, I swear. And I enjoy it. Unlike the hour and a half of Geometry I have to endure every Wednesday. That's a different story.
I swear I should be homeschooled. Pajamas all day.
